Jason Scheff is the next finest vocalist for Chicago band after Peter Cetera left in 1985. Jason is especially chosen because his voice and style bear a uncanny resemblance to Peter. This is to retain the Chicago sound that their fans come to associate with. In addition, Jason also serve as bassist and songwriter for the band. Since then, Jason has remained in the band, continuing on the tradition of the original Chicago singing love ballade songs.
