Just when I thought embedding Flickr Widget image32into seems somewhat involving and complicated, I came across burgeblog which has managed to embed Flickr Widget successfully. The author accomplishes it the easy and intuitive way through the use of Set function in Flickr. The best thing is that this method simply works. Using Set function allows one to modify the Set, and the change reflect in the widget immediately. This is a highly recommended way to embed Flickr widget into WordPress.com. Since it works flawlessly and easily, it will supersede my previous “complicated” post in Vodpoding Flickr Slideshow Widget into WordPress.com – Part 1 : Using Search function

There probably some other ways of embedding the widget, which unfortunately one need to explore and experiment different approaches and see what’s working. It seems so far using Set function is the  best workable way I experience.

Important:
This method is somewhat over-complicated. I strongly suggest user uses the more intuitive Flickr’s Set function as elaborate in

image This is great news for image users ! It seems that Vodpod developer finally answer the plea of the user by adding a feature to obtain the Vodpod’s Embed Code without forcing a posting.
Thank Vodpod for this great feature.

In the past, several cumbersome steps are required to obtain the Embed Code as highlighted in https://geekycoder.wordpress.com/2009/02/15/laymans-guide-to-embedding-flickr-slideshow-into-wordpresscom/. Now those steps are optional. This is a very valuable time-saving feature if one want to capture several widgets quickly, and not having to delete each “dummy” post thereafter.

Note: This article is only applicable to those who have installed certain popular malware/anti-virus system, and are frustrated having to wait for Word 2007 to perform virus-scanning prior to open document file.

Yes, it can overwhelming frustrating and impatient to watch and wait for MS Word 2007 to virus-scan any open document. It is even more so when one is accessing frequently used document that is unlikely to be infected. The scanning waiting time is directly proportional to the size of the document and hence, opening many large documents can feel very intrusive and inefficient in the long run.

The good news is that Vista itself together with Window Defender does not perform any virus scanning in tandem with Word 2007. The bad news are that most users are probably be affected too because most computers, notebook and desktop alike from respectable vendors (eg HP, Lenova, Acer), are pre-installed some sort of malware/anti-virus system that by turn on by default, which force Word 2007 to virus-scan any open document.

Ever since I restore Windows Vista from the image disc just 2 weeks ago, I face frequent annoying wireless disconnection. My last installation of Windows Vista based on the “image” disc did not exhibit the wireless problem as I’m facing in latest restore. I’m not sure if active Windows Update which patch Windows Vista constantly is the culprit for the wireless disconnection.
